Identifying with the Christmas Story

On Christmas Eve, I wrote one of my sort-of-poems. Here it is. It's called "Who are you in the Christmas Story?"
Who are you in the Christmas Story?
Are you magi? Full of human wisdom, university educated, wealthy, powerful, and lost.
Are you shepherd? Working class, uneducated and cold?
Are you Herod, who would prefer it if Jesus wasn't born? And will kill Him if he can.
Are you Mary, confused but willing to embrace the purposes of God?
Are you Joseph, well-meaning and kind but baffled and feeling peripheral?
Are you angel, singing and dancing in praise to God Made Man?
Perhaps the best you and I can be is the star, shining the way to Jesus for others to find him.
