God rewards those who seek Him

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Maybe this is the answer to the age-old question of why Christians don't pray as much as they should.

Maybe it's because:

  • We do believe that he exists.
  • But we don't really believe that he rewards us when we earnestly seek him.

Surely if we really believed that we would be rewarded for praying, then we'd do much more of it.

Remember Jesus's words:

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
