Choosing to Trust God

In the studies for the last three weeks, we've been looking at:

Romans 8v37
... we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

This week, we consider a third condition for actually living like a conqueror. This condition is:

choosing to trust God and be at peace

Paul wrote:

Philippians 4v11-13
... I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

1 Timothy 6v6-8
... godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

The writer to the Hebrews said:

Hebrews 13v5-6
...be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Remember:

Faith doesn't get you around trouble, it gets you through it

and:

When you relinquish your desire to control the future, you obtain happiness
